Sumter Regional Hospital is pleased to offer Cardiac Catheterization Services to the people of Southwest Georgia.
Sumter Regional Hospital now provides a state-of-the-art cardiac catherization laboratory. The facility is 2,767 square feet and provides services and resources needed to access and diagnose coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease and heart function.
Cardiac catherization is a common non-surgical procedure. It is performed using a catheter (a thin flexible tube) which is inserted into a blood vessel and guided to the heart using X-ray guidance.
