Ellaville & Buena Vista Internal Medicine Centers

Prior to October 1, 2005, Ellaville & Buena Vista Internal Medicine Centers were considered one medical practice. In order to better serve the two communities, the practices have made some changes. We have added a Nurse Practitioner in Buena Vista. Family Nurse Practitioner Betty Jo Songer-MSN, APRN, BC, now leads Buena Vista Internal Medicine. Mrs. Songer�s clinical background encompasses nursing of many different specialties such as pediatrics, oncology, PACU, home health, hospice, medical/surgical and gerontological (nursing home).

Patients in the Ellaville area are now served by the Ellaville Internal Medicine under the leadership of Certified Physician�s Assistant, Todd Hatcher, PA-C. Mr. Hatcher served under Dr. Toro and worked in the Emergency Room at Sumter Regional Hospital before becoming the principal caregiver at that location.

The office hours for both practices will remain the same�Monday through Friday, 8:30am until 5pm. Ellaville Internal Medicine is located at 335 E. Oglethorpe Street. To schedule appointments in Ellaville, please call 229-937-2440.
