| Cardiology Clinic |
| The Cardiology Clinic is a partnership between Cardiology Associates, PC and Sumter Regional Hospital. The goal of this service is to give area residents with heart problems and disorders their choice of care here in Sumter County. The staff provide basic nursing assessments, vital signs, EKGs and an opportunity for questions with the nurse. After this takes place, physician's visits and necessary tests are ordered if necessary and the patients and their families are also given pertinent education material. | Ellaville Primary Medicine Center |
| While many rural populations have to travel to find quality health care at an affordable price, this is not the case for the people of Schley County and the surrounding areas. Located 15 miles north of Americus on U.S. Highway 19, the Ellaville Primary Medicine Center (EPMC) offers many health care services for residents of Schley county and surrounding areas. In 1994, Sumter Regional Hospital established the Ellaville Primary Medicine Center to give local residents a choice in their own community. |
| The mission at EPMC is to provide care for the people in Schley County and the surrounding areas. They provide services for the entire family, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention services. Common acute and controlled chronic diseases as well as child checks, family planning and pre-employment physicals are among the clinical services offered. Currently, EPMC coordinates health fairs with Sumter Regional Hospital and is providing health assessments and screenings at the Schley County Elementary School. |
| The EPMC staff is active in assessing the community's health care needs. The bilingual (Spanish/English) health care outreach workers provide interpretation and case management services to seasonal and migrant farm workers in the community. EPMC, under a federal grant, assists approximately 1000 migrant and seasonal farm workers in the Schley county area annually. |
| The business office personnel is responsible for maintaining records, filing insurance, appointments and referrals. The federal government establishes the sliding fee scale annually and it is based on the total family income and the number of persons in the family. |

| Oncology Clinic |
| Cancer. The very word spreads fear into the hearts of many, and there are few people that this deadly disease has not touched either directly or through a family member or friend. |
| The SRH Oncology and Hematology clinic takes on this dreaded disease every day, helping area residents fight cancer with compassionate care and all the latest technology. |
| Our main goal is to offer comprehensive oncology/hematology outpatient care in our service area (made up of an eight-county region) and to provide nursing support from SRH and other support from the Oncology Clinic at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. We provide screenings, diagnosis and treatments to both adults and children, and also specialize in hematological (blood) disorders. |
| When a patient comes in (either by a physician's referral or self referral), an assessment such as taking vital signs is done. Then, depending on the patient's diagnosis, the clinic is equipped to give chemotherapy right here in our office as well as blood transfusions and outpatient injections. The Patients are also educated about chemotherapy and other useful material they will need as they fight this disease. |
